‘ALIVE LEARNING’ is Shortlisted in the International Competition ONE PRIZE, Smart Dock:
-First of all it is an alive architecture design, that can embrace the way of doing of TERREFORM. The Screw connection, the garden in the top floor, and the natural light taken from the roof are strategies that reinforce this breathing space, understanding and strengthening the technical and climatic rules of Brooklyn Navy Yard.
-Secondly, it has a flexible and transformable design, created by a technical roof that allows the furniture appear and disappear in several positions, as a working tables, crits space or even darkness for projections.
-Third goal is the possibility of growing. The design of one Unit Screw contains the necessary elements and technical problems, in order to be repeated in future enlargements within the Smart Dock.
-Finally it creates a fluency space with the existing Smart Dock programmes. This is in order to create more easy connections and to give free space that can improve the relationships with the other users.
The ‘ALIVE LEARNING’ project wants to Engage, Engender and Sustain the future pedagogical spaces for Terreform.
