Rental housing has its own specifics. The absence of a specific client has left us free to grasp the assignment, but at the same time it carries with it the promise of universality. We worked with 135 m² of usable space, orientation to three cardinal points and a premium location. We decided to create an apartment of a higher standard that can be occupied by a family, a couple or a single person.
The original layout was diluted by the design into a generous living room with kitchenette and two bedrooms with comfortable facilities. The dominant feature of the interior is an atypical wardrobe assembly that combines the main storage area with doors to the bathrooms, wc and laundry room and a source of natural light to the hallway. This solution made it possible to place the complete facilities of the apartment in 35 m², leaving most of the area for living space.
The entire apartment is colourfully composed in light shades of beige and grey as a contemporary complement to the original historicising elements in ivory. The solid frieze oak flooring refers in its composition and shade to the original flooring and naturally follows the cast terrazzo in the background areas of the apartment.
