With its open, generous and luminous universe which favors communication between employees, clients and occasional visitors, the whole space is conceived as a real invitation to coworking.
Imagined as a flexible workspace, the ground floor is a surface for circulation, meeting, exchange, production and exhibition. A single reception point in the center of this multifunctional space, distributes the meeting rooms, the administration, the library and its fireplace. A large kitchen/dining hall welcomes the 70 employees and opens onto a terrace with abundant vegetation, far from the stereotypes of the usual dining halls.
Two identical office floors overlook this open base: open spaces to the east and individual or shared offices, facing west, all glazed to continue visual communication. Designed to optimize natural light, façade openings allow light to enter the heart of the building. Each office is positioned close to windows and the zenithal lighting brings brightness to the central space, even illuminating the open staircase.
The concrete construction, which favors mass and inertia, has been adapted both to its use and to the Luxembourg climate: the active slabs maintain the building in temperature throughout the year and the inertia of the concrete smoothes the deviations from temperature and drastically reduces energy requirements.
The wooden façade recalls the warm atmosphere of the interior and was designed to allow natural light to flood the workspaces. The cladding in front of the windows creates a homogeneous envelope and offers significant acoustic qualities. Sun protection, essential to avoid overheating the premises, consists of curtains of aluminum profiles.
The project is therefore simple and warm in both the layout of the spaces and the choice of materials. Its realization, because it favors sustainable approaches with bioclimatic management and soft mobility support, offers the assurance of an experience full of serenity and well-being.
