Interested in exploring the urban and social potentials of contemporary typologies, the Chua Boc project investigates the potential of introducing a vertical synergy between the programs of a mixed-use development: Located in a very dense urban area of Hanoi, it contains offices, hotel, apartments, commercial and a public school. We see the potential of qualitative improvement of public space through mixed use high density developments, rather than just creating a visual and formal project only. This project marked the beginning of a series of projects, which deal with the potential of adding value to the environment by introducing a stronger “public” emphasis on the high rise typology.
