Curtain Opening
Curtain
Opening revitalizes Pushkinsky Cinema Hall by unveiling Moscow's most beloved
cultural gathering stage to the city.
Sweeping curtain-like panels part to reveal the backdrop of the Cinema
Hall. The curtains drape to the ground, articulating
the main pathway, forming benches, and creating green gathering spaces. On opening nights, the Curtain Opening
invites visitors to the stage as strips of light illuminate through the
curtains, highlighting the spaces around them.
The curtain panels are made of Corian with inset SentryGlas panels, and mounted
on aluminum mullions. The panels are
standardized in their angles and curve radii for ease of fabrication and
installation.
