Lean forward. Damac Tower.
Damac Tower is located across
from the iconic Kingdom Tower, which is the symbol of contemporary Riyadh.
Situated in the center of King Fahad Road, Damac Tower will be a milestone in
the future development of the boulevard. The shape of the tower is orthogonal
in footprint aligning the building’s orientation with the orientation of King
Fahad Road. As the floors move upward, however, the building seems to twist in
the direction of the Kingdom Tower. This effect is produced by a slight curvature
of the balconies, which angle outward as the floors move up maximizing
residents’ views of the Kingdom Tower.
MODULAR PLAN
The design of the building is
based on a rectangular shape, which in turn is based on a regular module,
flanking a double-loaded corridor. The module maximizes the GFA and creates
maximum flexibility for the layout of specific apartment types (1 BDR, 2 BDR, 3
BDR), which can be easily adjusted according to market demand.
Studio (one module): The studio apartment is based on one module
and is suitable for a young professional.
1 Bedroom (two modules): The 1 Bedroom apartment is based on two
modules and is suitable for a single professional or a couple.
2 Bedroom (three modules): The 2 Bedroom apartment is based on three
modules and is suitable for a small family.
3 Bedroom (four modules): The 3 Bedroom apartment is based on four
modules and is suitable for a medium size family.
Inner & Outer
Facade
The inner façade is made of concrete
and provides sliding glass doors lined with decorative wooden shutters for
light filtration providing access to the balconies from the living rooms. The
decorative outer façade is based on a regular Islamic pattern and serves to
enclose the balconies, providing shade and privacy for the residents.
