The Guangchuan shipyard played a key role in Guangzhou’s celebrated industrial history, it will be transformed into a “Future Harbor City”, a pioneering landmark for the Greater Bay Area.
The main street in the central area connects key public areas including the iconic commercial plaza, where a multi-functional building resembling a floating spaceship will become the civic and international image of the project.
Project highlight: “One Centre, One Loop, Three Zones”
“One Centre” refers to the “Boat of Time Plaza”, which is the main connector of the entire guangzhou shipyard development. this main space features a boat-shaped central pavilion, which commemorates the site’s industrial glory and projects a futuristic image for the innovative 4k industry.
“One Loop”, the Guangchuan Ring, draws visitors from the city centre to the Riverfront Heritage Park. It is the master plan’s main pedestrian circulation network.
“One Centre” and “One Loop” connects the “Three Zones”: “Commercial Zone”, “Living Zone” and “Riverfront Heritage Zone”.
The Guangzhou Shipyard is connected by a three-level horizontal circulation network and multiple vertical traffic links. These include the subway, light rail network, second-level pedestrian platform, underground loop road connections and multi-node vertical traffic. The Industrial Heritage Interactive Ring connects the Waterfront Heritage Corridor with Phong Cun Avenue together with heritage axes. As the main traffic artery in the base, Long Beach Road efficiently connects various blocks.
The advantages of such an integrated hybrid project go far beyond its aesthetic achievements. Our master plan is designed to be built on a wealth of activities, connectivity, and tight and high-quality public spaces to achieve the desired effect, thus ensuring that Guangzhou Shipyard is a world-class destination for mobility, entertainment and contemporary living.
