Aedas Global Design Principal Dr. Andy Wen and Executive Director Yijun Qian have created a people-centric Hantec Plaza in Guangzhou.
The project boasts excellent geographical advantages, situated between major roads and directly above a future metro station. The complex will be developed in two phases, featuring retail spaces, high-end offices, and a boutique hotel. Phase 1 will include a groundbreaking 34,000 sq m of retail space – Hantec Plaza.
In addition to the conventional ground floor, an immersive sunken plaza is created that seamlessly integrates natural elements with commercial spaces, facilitating smooth pedestrian flow and maximising the site's commercial value. The commercial area adopts a retail street layout with different themes, incorporating various scales of commercial nodes into a circular circulation path. ‘The design results in multi-dimensional and flexible connections between different areas within the site, allowing consumers to experience a variety of scenes and a dynamic experience.’ Aedas Global Design Principal Dr. Andy Wen and Yijun Qian shares.
