Two beachfront villas on the island of Anguilla create luxurious private enclaves that open out to the lush exterior landscape and dramatic ocean views.
Taylor Smyth and Cecconi Simone collaborated in the design of two six bedroom villas that occupy a striking private beachfront site. Entering through a wooden gate into a private garden courtyard, visitors are drawn towards the ocean view by a linear water feature. This leads to the main living and dining area where walls of glass doors can be fully retracted to allow the indoor space to be completely open to the courtyard on one side and a generous outdoor patio on the other. A negative edge swimming pool with a built-in hot tub at one end spans the length of the patio, merging visually with the crystal blue of the ocean beyond.
The interiors have been custom designed by Cecconi Simone to create a relaxed yet sophisticated environment, with a palette of cream and dark wood accents. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom and walk-out, and the basement includes a prep kitchen, gym and media room. The villas are fully serviced by solar panels that provide all their electrical needs.
