Largest thatched roof in Europe
Lanserhof Sylt is an exclusive health resort with 68 rooms, which is being built on the site of a former military base on the island of Sylt. The complex comprises a main building with spa and diagnostics area as well as three vacation homes directly on the water. The thatched roof, the largest in Europe, is a striking architectural highlight. The planning places particular emphasis on sustainability and energy efficiency. Compact construction, high-quality insulation and the use of natural materials minimize energy requirements. Loggias in the thatched roof provide private outdoor space and contribute to improved thermal insulation. The project pursues an integrative approach that promotes holistic relaxation and health for guests.
