When Mr. Jean had finished creating the hotel, he wanted to dedicate a space to his wife. Being his muse, his "Bijou," the space is inspired by the boudoirs of yesteryear, those intimate and cozy rooms where women gathered to socialize and entertain.
Resolutely feminine and delicate, the bar takes the form of a sophisticated and modern curiosity cabinet, borrowing a few elements from the baroque style with its opulence and whimsical spirit! The alcoves behind the bar, the centerpiece of the layout, are draped in velvet curtains to provide softness while serving an acoustic role. The eclectic choice of furniture, textiles, and colors is a variation of Mr. Jean's universe, reinterpreted with a more feminine touch. The low furniture invites relaxation and conversation through the different lounge areas. The surfaces are soft and plush in a refined and intimate ensemble.
Bijou becomes a hidden gem of Old Quebec and positions itself among the must-visit bars in the city’s hotels.
