Mall of Splendor Zhangjiagang
CLOU has envisioned the façade design for the 107,000 sqm high-end retail complex “The Mall of Splendors” developed by the China Jinmao Group. Located in Shazhouhu high tech CBD in Zhangjiagang, the project sits within an eco-corridor on the west bank of the river and is amongst a development which showcases this area’s emerging potential.
Making use of the beneficial views of the riverside and natural surroundings, the project features a landscaped rooftop as a ‘responsive green heart’, echoing the beautiful scenery of the urban context whilst linking people with natural elements.
The facade is composed of transparent glass boxes with ‘vertical farms’ inside that blur the boundary of indoor and outdoor spaces and create a sense of openness towards the public. These innovative volumes blend the high-tech profile of the area, the greenery of the surroundings, and retail functions, creating an exceptional dining and shopping experience.
