One Bangkok is a large-scale development project located in the heart of Bangkok, covering approximately 172,800 sq. m., with easy access to public transportation. The project consists of office towers, luxury hotels, branded residences, retail spaces, and green areas, including public parks that unify its multiple buildings. With over 50% of the space dedicated to green open areas, the development emphasizes environmentally friendly design, aims to be a significant business and cultural hub in Bangkok. Furthermore, One Bangkok incorporates modern technology and efficient transportation systems, enhancing convenience, vitality, and sustainability for future residents.
One Bangkok draws inspiration from the site’s 19th-century history, including the establishment of Thailand’s first radiotelegraph station, economic railway lines, canals, rice fields, and noble residences. The designers have reflected this unique character in the landscape design. The park serves not only as an urban gathering space but also as a connection to various elements such as people, planting, history, and architecture.
The landscape design further connects these stories through softscape elements, incorporating tree species found in Lumphini Park and rare plants native to Bangkok. The ground patterns are inspired by woven fabric designs, symbolically tying everything together. Additionally, the main plaza offers spaces for gatherings and events of all sizes.
One Bangkok encourages everyone to embrace eco-friendly modes of travel (ie. via pedestrian- walkways, bike lanes, and public transportation) thereby reducing carbon emissions and enhancing air quality for a healthier urban environment. One Bangkok is envisioned as the central node of Bangkok’s urban green network. This vision benefits not only the environment but also contributes to urban development in terms of well-being, economic growth, and sustainability, ultimately creating a city-level green network. It is developed in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), LEED and WELL Platinum with smart technology to conserve energy and be environmentally friendly.
