The themes of variability and process take form in this multi-disciplinary gallery and project space. Rather than eliminate the existing context in this former HVAC contracting office-- which include interior office windows, partitions, and window shades-- we've chosen to leave them intact. We have exposed the water-stained ceiling and layers of old wallpaper, and introduced new floating exhibition walls to highlight, rather than conceal, the original conditions. A massive moveable partition wall serves as a room divider and an exhibition wall, allowing the space to be reconfigured in multiple ways.
