BWA designed the 35,000 sq. ft. Learning Commons addition and renovation of the 50,000 sq. ft. main Drexel Library as a technology-rich environment for round-the-clock use by students and faculty.
A generous three-story glazed atrium welcomes users to this academic complex, embraces the campus' main east-west pedestrian path, and links the addition and the library.
The Learning Commons houses a cafe, social study space and open computer area on the ground floor, quiet individual and group study areas on the second floor, and special collections and exhibits on the third.
