Only Green Design was asked by the organizers of Baustelle Group, (a visual and performing art group funded by the swiss foundation) if we would be interested in collaborating in a rejuvenation project to breathe life back into a huge abandoned space in downtown Prishtina, names Bora Ramiz. The building is the most significant architecture in Kosovo, created during the Yugoslavia hey day by Josef Bros Tito, and it burned in 2004 and has since been in disrepair. ᅠThe concept of the project is to host a 1 hour event with over 32 performers and artists making projects based on the theme of repetition.
“Wooden Wave”
an entry piece constructed out of the old chairs which used to be stadium seating.
“Hanging”
52 alluminum pipes fastened to a roof truss and draped down over a burned out building.
“Te Dua, Cka Me Bo”
a huge wood and paper sculpture lit up with incandescent light bulbs. ᅠIn Albanian language, “te dua” means “I love you,” “cka me bo” means “what to do?” ᅠThis is a question to the city in regards to their feeling towards the building, the city, and each other. ᅠIt is intended to be a personal and self reflecting suggestion
