Corner house on a thrilling place in the center of Prague – on the edge of a busy street, overlooking a major Prague park. The aim was to create a proud house on an exposed corner that would fit gently into the existing context. The street facade is divided by a system of cornices that optically separate the individual floors and refer freely to the facade morphology of the surrounding houses. Openwork windows create detail on the façade, a play of light and shadow and a place to stay. The courtyard façade is divided into two parts by a gap, which illuminates the inner staircase. The mass of the house gradually subsides to maintain the fine scale of the houses in the courtyard and ensure maximum sunlight.
