The remodel of Revelry, a 3,500-square-foot restaurant in downtown Bozeman, Montana, was designed to create a feeling of comfort and warmth to complement the kitchen’s classic, American fare.
Inspired by the owner’s desire to achieve a natural, rustic interior with a mid-century modern flair, the design team incorporated both industrial and natural (repurposed) materials and an abundance of plants and colorful tile work. Large wooden storage bins constructed from livestock watering troughs and framed in barn wood were used as both room divider and design feature with repeating ovals to reference a mid-century modern motif. Simple shapes, clean lines, and polished concrete flooring add other modern touches.
The result is a happy blend of rustic and modern, providing an ambience that invites you to tuck in and stay for a while to enjoy good food and friends.
