The brief called for 170 units to be added at the perimeter of a post-war residential neighborhood. A long L-shaped bar separates the noisy street from the park-like interior of the block, aound which all the apartments are grouped. The bar is broken up to allow for the green space to flow out in the the street scape and the end pieces of the new urban ensemble tie into the grain of the neighborhood. Ground floor apartments have private gardens and community garden spaces are available for all tenants throughout the semi-public park space. Every apartment is wheelchair accessible and all building have interior parking for bicycles near each stairwell.Competition entry was awarded an Honorable Mention
