Internationally recognized beauty product retailer Sephora opened the doors of their Robson Street flagship (its largest store in Canada) in Downtown Vancouver. This two storey project provides the required sidewalk widening property dedication and a near continuous glass canopy for pedestrian weather protection. Known for their distinctive store design, 1045 Robson continues this trend and utilizes the brand’s bold black-and-white colour scheme and iconic “S-“shaped flame logo throughout. However, our team took this approach a next step further through a custom built and designed 3-dimensional metal screen that captures the “S”-shaped flame in its negative space. Installed across a 480 sf second-story glass storefront, this unique sculptural element provides solar shading and visual interest for pedestrians along Robson.
