Current trends in online shopping push physical shopping even further into the realm of entertainment. Consumers are willing to spend much more on experience than on actual goods and at the same time the stimulation threshold is elevated. The design takes advantage of the numerous dead strip malls scattered throughout the American landscape and conceives of them as a network of hosting shells. A secondary network of pop-up stores circulates between the stationary hosting mall structures. The mall turns into a cyclical event venue where the stores themselves, rather than the merchandise, fill it with new content.
