As architects for the Society since 2005, Platt Byard Dovell White completed a $60 million campaign of interior and exterior renovations to change the image, appearance, accessibility, and principal spaces throughout the museum. Led by a dynamic new administration and reopened on November 11, 2011, the institution is the nation’s premier museum devoted to American history.
The project won a 2011 Lucy G. Moses Award from the New York Landmarks Conservancy and a 2013 Design Honor Award from the AIA.
